I'd like to get a couple more written, but I've got a lot of work to do, then my niece and nephew have 5(!!!) dance recitals between Saturday and Sunday.

( But nothing fun or interesting, really, so we'll just cut to the current fun stuff. )

Although you may attempt to meet your current obligations while responding to the changing dynamics at work, you could grow tired of office shenanigans and decide not to play the game any longer.

In other words, the first time someone tries to pull a "funny" cruel April Fool's prank on me or mine, I will not be a nice person about it.

Just incredibly busy at work... three major projects that I'm heavily involved in are due by the first week in April, and there's a lot to be done. So, I am thinking of y'all, even if I can't always comment.

I'm in better shape than I was yesterday, so off I go...

But I'm not sure, because it's raining so hard and gotten so dark I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING FURTHER THAN A BLOCK AWAY OUT MY WINDOW AT WORK.

The constant lightning doesn't make it any better, either. I'm in a major high rise, and the lights have flickered a few times.

The wind can't decide which way to blow, so it's going to blow all ways at once.

I wish I could take pictures and show y'all this.

Kitties have been taken to Mom's so they don't freak out while the workers are here.

I have cold drinks (mostly non-alcoholic).

I have ice cream, and I'm not afraid to use it. ;-)

Going back to work today... hopefully I still have a job. :-p Need to call a real doctor and make an appointment to sit down and talk to them about what's going on.

Looks like I may get out of meetings today, the consultant is sick.

Unfortunately, I think I am, too. Damn Yankee germs. :-p

Wrote 267 words on the Springkink prompt Final Fantasy VII, Kadaj/Rufus Shinra: sensory deprivation - What's wrong? Are you still afraid of the dark?. That leaves one to go, the Vergil torture prompt that I really ought to get down before I completely squick myself out of writing it.

Then six kinkfest prompts, and if I feel good about those, I'll go back and to claim some more.

Beat Final Fantasy IX yesterday, and oh, how I love that ending. :-) Next up is SMT: Nocturne, since I tend to see prompts and stuff about it everywhere.

ETA: LOL! Trying to write the Music tag, almost posted "You're a Solidor Now".

So I caved in and snagged the gen_challenge prompt May 9 - Final Fantasy 7, Sephiroth, weapons maintenance. 509 words, and I had to do research on sword cleaning. :-p It'll be posted on the 8th, right before I leave for my trip to New York.

I've got two more prompts in my current writing prompts and projects file, but we'll see if I actually do anything with them. Still have three more Springkink prompts to finish, and then kinkfest should be accepting claims.

Probably won't get much writing done today, unless something strikes me - got one last batch of work to do at work.

I am insane at times, it seems. ;-)

I'm also doing better this morning, so I will be a good girl and go to work.

...but she didn't gaurentee it, either.

Our review system is split into two: one meeting for going over the self-assessment, then another meeting to go over the manager's plan for the year. I will bring it up again during the second meeting in a couple of weeks, we'll see what happens.

Since I needed something to do with my racing mind, I finished another Springkink prompt, 966 words (which may be my longest yet, I'll have to check). 3 more to do, but they're not due for 2 weeks or more, so I have time to get them done.

I don't know when today, but if you can spare me a thought, I'll be getting my review and will be asking for a raise.

I've also got a plan for money issues, since it's pretty obvious the house isn't going to sell. I've done my taxes and will be getting a nice chunk of change back (sold stock at a loss, and all the medical bills). Then there's my bonus in March. And then whatever the government hands out after that. Even if I don't get the raise, I'll go to my bank with numbers and get refinanced. Then I can pay off a credit card and chop it up, get the heating and AC replaced, and get a bigger Craftmatic bed.

Posted: Here, unlocked, on Springkink. I am quite proud of this one... it just flowed onto the page.

And got the two things I needed to get done done already, so now I have another Springkink file open to try to finish today.

Wrote a third drabble for this week's prompt. I have... oh, probably two more in my head, but the Reno one needs a lot of work so it doesn't sound stupid. :-p

Big thing to try to do soon is to get back in the habit of exercising. I stepped on the scale this morning, and I've gained about 10 pounds in the last month or so. Not a good thing. And it's not like I have many excuses... there's a gym I can use for FREE here at work, and a mall I could walk not half a mile from my house. I just need to do it.

Tired, sore, menstruating, trying not to freak out about work, trying to get the energy to write (did NONE while on my trip).

*limply waves*

In other news, I'll be out of town from crack of dawn tomorrow until sometime Wednesday on a business trip. Not sure what my Internet access will be. Maybe I'll get some more Springkink prompts done, so I don't feel quite so "OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?" about the three kinkfest ones I took. :-p

Work is stressful. Vodka removes stress.

I've been trying to be consciously spreading joy, or at the very least not spreading hate. Sometimes it's hard, but most of the time it's really not. You just have to think about it.
