He even got a bath at the vet's. I inquired as to the condition of the tech involved, and got a bit of a nervous laugh in response. *sigh*

(I posted this over on LJ's ontd_p, but couldn't resist posting here, too)

The court voted 5-0, with Justice Costa Pleicones concurring in a separate opinion, that the General Assembly had the authority in passing the state budget to order Sanford to apply for the money. Sanford contended that a federal law passed in February gave him the sole authority to apply for the money.

The justices also issued a rare writ of mandamus ordering Sanford to apply for the money.

President Obama's *scuse me, squee coming on* speech was incredible and absolutely what we all needed to hear. That was my first favorite part.

My second favorite part was the quartet. I've seen Itzhak Perlman as a bitty kid on Sesame Street eons ago, and Yo Yo Ma is just amazing, as always. The clarinet (which I used to play) is the sweetest sounding I've probably ever heard. Enjoy!

...when you don't feel like cooking 20-minute rice.

Unfortunately, the place I love to eat from makes rice that turns into rocks when you nuke it. So I'm looking in my cabinet, because I don't want to eat the leftover Mai Po tofu (or, as I call it, My Poor tofu) without a starch. I'm looking in my cabinet, thinking I'll cook some of the spaghetti or vermicelli, then:

BRAIN: You have Ramen
STOMACH: Don't want beef flavored Ramen with spicy tofu
BRAIN: So don't add the flavor packet.
STOMACH: ...BRILLIANT!

So, I broke up the Ramen, cooked it, strained it, dumped some of the tofu and sauce on top. YUM!!!

I've seen where Hillary Clinton went for the acclimation vote, which was pretty classy. "Love Train" starting up was a bit surreal, but hey, it worked. ;-)

I then saw the part after Joe Biden's speech, and you're going to have to forgive me for breaking out the wrestling smark-talk, but... oh my GOD! Obama with the run-in! The crowd POPS! Has he been secretly coached by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, because I'm having flashbacks. ;-) That was awesome. I wish I could've been there.

Now I need an Obama icon. We can do this!
